Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee centralized operations for Ventures and both current and future acquired practices.

• Supervise personnel, processes, and systems pertaining to central operations.

• Define, strategize, implement, and enhance central operational processes, systems, and procedures.

• Collaborate with internal and external business partners to establish best-practice operations.

• Supervise the implementation, updates, administration, and monitoring of centralized practice management software.

• Manage the previous software used by practices until it is replaced.

• Promote care-focused efficiencies, best practices, and high-quality eye care across practices.

• Enhance supply chain planning and operations while fostering business efficiencies and scalability.

• Oversee the ongoing improvement of supply chain, centralized software and hardware, vendor management, and PMS software.

• Anticipate additional staffing requirements as Ventures expands and grows its locations.

• Define, implement, and ensure analysis of product pricing and availability optimization.

• Establish market differentiation through efficiencies, service quality, patient focus, and expertise.

• Operate within the departmental budget while assessing growth needs in line with practice acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years of management experience, including hiring, training, task assignment, and performance management of direct reports.

• Proven knowledge of third-party plan configuration.

• Direct experience in revenue cycle management and insurance credentialing.

• Familiarity with practices and procedures in the optical industry.

• Demonstrated understanding of point of sales (POS) systems and inventory management.

• Strong business acumen, with experience in working with KPIs and other performance metrics.

• Background in the optometric industry, with a solid grasp of optical office flow, optical software, planning, and supply chain management.

• Proven experience managing external vendors, employees, and products across multiple locations.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and effectively communicate changes in the workplace.

• Proven capability to develop plans to accommodate growth.

• Proven ability to analyze and enhance work processes.

• Highly organized with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

• Self-motivated and driven towards achieving long-term goals.

• Capable of developing, working towards, and meeting tight and aggressive deadlines and objectives.

• Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

• For remote or hybrid positions, maintain high engagement in virtual environments, including keeping the camera on during meetings.
