Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage the recruitment, hiring, training, coaching, development, and accountability of technicians.

• Enhance technician success, retention, and staffing levels.

• Recruit and onboard residential and/or commercial pest, termite, specialty, and lawn technicians.

• Assess technician performance through ride-alongs and audits.

• Address customer concerns promptly.

• Ensure high service quality and boost customer retention.

• Occasionally fill in for customer appointments to mitigate temporary staffing shortages.

• Oversee branch scheduling and guarantee efficient completion of appointments.

• Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Monitor and manage inventory for pest, termite control, and home services products.

• Track metrics such as customer satisfaction and retention, technician retention, staffing budget, team safety, route completion, scheduling efficiency, sales growth, and service cost control.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Must maintain licenses/certificates as mandated by federal, state, and/or local regulations.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical solutions.

• Capability to effectively lead and inspire others.

• Basic to intermediate math skills for sales/service calculations.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.

• Capacity to build rapport and establish trust with both customers and employees.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

• Physical capability to perform activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

• Willingness to work in damp and/or dusty environments, confined spaces, and narrow aisles or passageways.

• Proficiency in using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

• Safe operation of a motor vehicle is essential.

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and other equipment.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including OSHA-compliant respirators.

• Good vision for detail-oriented tasks at close distances or within arm’s reach.

• Ability to withstand seasonal weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

• Flexibility for evening and weekend work, participation in rotating on-call schedules, and willingness to work extended hours (50–60 hours) during peak season.

• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territories.
