This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of ongoing project financial reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance evaluations for the designated scope.
• Examine revenue, gross profit, cost-to-complete, cash flow, billing, collections, commitments, labor, equipment, and productivity trends.
• Create and sustain project forecasts that align with scope, schedule, quantities, resources, expenditures, and earnings expectations.
• Assess changes to estimates-at-completion and document the operational and financial assumptions that support forecast modifications.
• Conduct reconciliations and data-quality checks across financial and operational systems.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, quantify their potential impacts, and escalate issues along with recommended actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and project controls to link field execution and schedule performance to financial outcomes.
• Assist with month-end closing, revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, and management reporting.
• Enhance reporting tools, models, dashboards, and standard procedures while ensuring governance and control compliance.
• Mentor coordinators and entry-level analysts on ongoing processes and analytical techniques.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Sound knowledge of project accounting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and cost management.
• Capability to independently analyze project performance and question unsupported assumptions.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling techniques.
• Experience with Power BI or comparable reporting tools is preferred.
• Ability to reconcile multiple data sources and implement clear validation controls.
• Effective communication of financial results, risks, and actions to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong sense of ownership, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Competence to work efficiently in an operational environment with shifting deadlines and incomplete information.
• Dedication to process consistency, documentation, and ongoing improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically three to six years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, project controls, or project-based analysis.
• Experience in construction, engineering, utilities, or EPC is preferred.
• Remote workplace style.
