Operations F&BO Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to line management on all financial matters pertaining to their organizational unit, which includes developing and implementing financial forecasts as well as analyzing revenue streams and expenses.

• Analyze operating results, assess and approve spending decisions, pinpoint operational risk factors, and deliver business insights along with strategic recommendations.

• Suggest strategies for cost reduction and profit enhancement.

• Assess, design, implement, measure, monitor, and regulate processes within the business operations.

• Act as a vital member of the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning team.

• Oversee the financial performance of the operational unit, including the Long Range Plan, monthly forecasts, and FP&A activities.

• Lead a team of business finance professionals to ensure adherence to contracts, effective cost management, budget formulation, and support for proposals.

• Collaborate with business development, capture management, and pricing teams on new business strategies, cost volume assessments, and cash flow preparations for executive presentations.

• Conduct month-end closing activities and perform variance/trend analyses.

• Provide financial and business operations leadership to the Enterprise Science Division and assist the Division Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of pertinent experience in finance and business operations.

• Previous experience in comprehensive product finance, encompassing supply chain, inventory management, and manufacturing.

• Proficient in developing new financial models and metrics to effectively manage the business.

• Familiarity with GAAP financial statement reporting and accounting principles.

• Experience in Program Finance.

• Demonstrable experience in articulating and communicating business cases, conducting variance analysis, and assessing cost-benefit models.
