This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee interpreting assignments for various clients and projects.
• Assess and designate qualified interpreters based on language, location, availability, credentials, experience, modality, and specific client needs.
• Recruit and source interpreters for challenging languages, geographic locations, and specialized assignments.
• Liaise with interpreters regarding availability, assignment specifics, confirmations, changes, documentation, and project needs.
• Ensure accurate tracking of assignments, interpreter profiles, notes, documentation, and scheduling details within the scheduling platform.
• Monitor upcoming assignments and proactively address potential coverage challenges.
• Assist senior team members with high-volume, complex, urgent, and specialized interpreting requests.
• Support interpreter onboarding and manage required documentation.
• Evaluate interpreter invoices and accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up on missing invoices, timesheets, service verification, and necessary documentation.
• Maintain project and assignment records for invoicing, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with interpreters, clients, and CCI team members.
• Aid in cancellations, replacements, schedule adjustments, and unforeseen circumstances.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Finance, Recruiting, and other departments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and processes.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in interpreting coordination, language services project management, interpreter scheduling, interpreting operations, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in scheduling and coordinating interpreters in a professional language services setting.
• Hands-on experience with ScheduleInterpreter® is highly preferred, or equivalent experience with a similar interpreter scheduling or language services management platform.
• Background in recruiting, sourcing, and maintaining relationships with freelance interpreters and language professionals.
• Familiarity with reviewing interpreter/vendor invoices and supporting service documentation.
• Strong comprehension of interpreting operations and the assignment lifecycle.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments, deadlines, priorities, and last-minute changes independently.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to take initiative.
• Availability to consistently provide remote support during 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
• Reliable high-speed internet and the necessary technology to deliver services remotely.
• Must reside outside of the United States and be able to work as an independent contractor in compliance with applicable regulations in their country of residence.
• Experience coordinating ASL, spoken-language, on-site, remote, simultaneous, and consecutive interpreting is valued.
• Experience supporting government, education, legal, healthcare, corporate, or conference interpreting programs is a plus.
