Operations Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete EDI transaction process for both B2B and B2G operations.

• Assist in the onboarding and ongoing management of government agencies and trading partners within the EDI landscape.

• Design, configure, and sustain EDI mappings, translation rules, and integration workflows.

• Supervise EDI transaction processing, detect issues, troubleshoot errors, and implement necessary corrective measures.

• Work collaboratively with business, IT, procurement, finance, and compliance teams to guarantee smooth data transfers.

• Facilitate integration between EDI platforms and enterprise applications, such as SAP and other ERP systems.

• Perform testing, validation, and deployment tasks for new EDI integrations and enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, XML, and other standard EDI protocols.

• Keep documentation updated regarding EDI processes, business rules, trading partner specifications, and support procedures.

• Engage in compliance reviews, audits, and initiatives for data quality improvement.

• Evaluate transaction performance metrics and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement and automation.

• Serve as a primary contact for EDI-related support, issue resolution, and partner communication.

• Offer guidance and training to business users on EDI processes, standards, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.

• Experience in supporting EDI, B2B, or B2G integration environments.

• Strong grasp of EDI standards, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, and AS2 communication protocols.

• Proficiency with EDI mapping, translation tools, and integration platforms.

• Familiarity with SAP IDocs, ALE integration frameworks, or comparable ERP integration technologies.

• Experience in troubleshooting EDI transactions, data validation issues, and integration failures.

• Knowledge of file transfer technologies such as FTP, SFTP, and AS2.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging technical and business stakeholders.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional, and client-focused environment.
