Operations Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support clients in enhancing their business operations by implementing and maintaining ERP systems.

• Analyze clients' operational challenges, evaluate existing processes, and propose ERP-based solutions.

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and various cross-functional teams.

• Review customer business documents, project specifications, and sales transition materials.

• Conduct reviews of current processes and align customer workflows with industry best practices.

• Assist in configuring the ERP environment and educate customers on ERP features and functionalities.

• Guide customers through the design, modeling, testing, and evaluation of business processes.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and draft functional specifications and solution documents.

• Ensure that validated configuration data is accurately updated in the production environment.

• Assist in creating end-user procedure documentation and provide training for customers.

• Support scenario testing, end-to-end testing, and User Acceptance testing.

• Evaluate customer readiness for Go-Live and provide support during the Go-Live phase.

• Prepare, maintain, and publish project documentation and communications.

• Communicate project issues and risks while coordinating with project managers and consulting teams.

• Build trusted relationships with customer teams, partners, and industry colleagues.

• Utilize change-management techniques and strive for referenceable customer experiences.

• Maintain a billable utilization rate of 75% or higher.

• Achieve at least one Epicor certification badge.

• Contribute to the enhancement of Cre8tive methodologies and tools.

• At Level 2, mentor junior consultants and present at departmental and company meetings.

• At Level 3, lead methodology improvements, maintain relationships with executive stakeholders, recommend innovative solutions, and support pre-sales activities, training, documentation, and customer presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• All levels must participate in annual company-wide and departmental ITAR training and adhere to ITAR standards.

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of consulting, business application training, ERP implementation, and/or customer support experience in Epicor or similar systems is required.

• Experience with Epicor ERP software is preferred.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing, operations, and supply chain business processes across different industries.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and enhancing business processes within manufacturing, operations, and supply chain.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.

• Must be willing to maintain an aggressive travel schedule of up to 50%.

• Proficient in core quote-to-ship processes: quoting, ordering, planning, purchasing, production, shipping, receiving, quality control, inventory, and labor entry.

• Working knowledge of BAQs, DMT, and Document Attachment.

• Level 2 requires expertise in BAQs, DMT, and Document Attachment, along with developing proficiency in advanced modules.

• Level 3 requires proficiency in several advanced ERP modules.

• Ability to utilize Epicor Kinetic software for finance-related processes.

• Ability to collaborate effectively, lead teams through transitions, model best practices, and maintain deliverables.

• Commitment to continuously improving ERP processes and methodologies.

• Must meet physical demands, including operating a computer, clear communication, prolonged sedentary work, and handling objects weighing at least 25 pounds.
