Operations Associate – Legal & Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Leverage AI and low-code platforms to automate legal tasks, replacing manual workflows.

• Perform legal research, contract evaluations, and other significant legal assignments alongside Legal Counsel.

• Ensure corporate entities remain compliant and in good standing throughout the U.S. and Canada.

• Manage annual reports and state requests from start to finish.

• Oversee intellectual property monitoring, detect infringements, and initiate cease-and-desist processes.

• Examine intricate consumer escalations and propose solutions to address root causes.

• Transform recurring consumer challenges into compliance training initiatives.

• Evaluate products and processes for compliance risks and user experience issues.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering and Product teams to address compliance concerns.

• Lead compliance audits across operations and keep an eye on high-risk areas.

• Report directly to Legal Counsel and take ownership of projects throughout their lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree from a highly regarded academic institution, demonstrating a strong performance record.

• Proven experience in managing projects from inception to completion and solving problems autonomously.

• A clear interest in utilizing AI and technology to enhance work processes, including tool development, automation, or process improvement.

• Capability to track outstanding items through to resolution and independently source solutions.

• Proficiency in automating manual tasks with spreadsheets, AI, or low-code solutions.

• Exceptional accuracy in regulatory submissions and audits.

• Proactive in communication and prompt in escalating obstacles.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working under pressure.

• Full-time salaried candidates must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.
