πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Review, refine, and edit reports, presentations, briefings, station profile updates, operational requirements documents, capability gap materials, and documentation related to acquisitions.

β€’ Create and enhance content tailored to meet stakeholder needs.

β€’ Ensure all documents adhere to the formatting, style, routing, approval, template, and document control requirements set by DHS, CBP, and USBP.

β€’ Maintain uniformity in messaging, terminology, tone, and structure across all deliverables.

β€’ Collaborate with subject matter experts, field personnel, program offices, and leadership stakeholders.

β€’ Assist in fulfilling operational requirements, conducting capability gap analysis, and managing acquisition and requirements management mission needs.

β€’ Generate written products that convert operational needs, capability gaps, and requirements into clear and actionable documentation for USBP and CBP leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A bachelor's degree in English, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

β€’ 5–10 years of pertinent experience.

β€’ Expertise in the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle and in preparing Acquisition Decision Event documents along with other associated technical documentation.

β€’ Demonstrated experience in technical writing and editing.

β€’ Familiarity with fact-checking, citation management, and style guides.

β€’ Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

β€’ Advanced capabilities in Word’s Track Changes feature and document formatting.

β€’ Background in marketing, communications, business, or change management.

β€’ Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.

β€’ Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

β€’ Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.

β€’ Strong organizational and time management abilities; proficient in coordinating tasks and prioritizing with minimal oversight.

β€’ Detail-oriented, team-oriented, and adaptable within a dynamic environment.

β€’ Must be able to pass a government background investigation.

β€’ U.S. citizenship is required for suitability determination.

β€’ An active CBP background investigation is preferred.
