This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conduct analyses of operational and financial data to pinpoint cost drivers, trends, and opportunities for efficiency across various operations.
• Execute comparative and trend analyses, including period-over-period and cross-site evaluations, to identify performance gaps and anomalies.
• Assess labor productivity metrics and establish productivity benchmarks and performance models.
• Aid in the analysis of revenue, costs, and overall performance across different sites or service lines.
• Link operational activities to financial results and convert data into actionable business insights.
• Transform productivity enhancements into cost savings and margin improvements, including their impact on EBITDA.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to understand P&L drivers and assist in pricing and commercial estimations using productivity benchmarks.
• Develop and sustain reporting tools, dashboards, and trackers.
• Standardize key metrics and reporting methodologies across datasets and business sectors.
• Enhance data quality, structure, and usability.
• Utilize advanced Excel and analytics tools to model operational and labor performance.
• Implement generative AI tools to improve the generation of insights.
• Convert analyses into actionable recommendations that boost operational efficiency and cost performance.
• Aid in process improvements, pilot initiatives, and outcome tracking.
• Work with Operations and Finance teams to validate insights and support implementation processes.
• Present insights to operational and executive audiences as an analytical partner to Operations leaders.
• Currently enrolled in a program related to Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Data/Analytics, or similar fields.
• Must be a college or university student, planning to resume academic studies following the completion of the co-op work term.
• Background or coursework in financial or operational analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, or dashboarding are preferred.
• Comfortable working with extensive datasets and operational reports.
• Proven capability to leverage AI for data analysis.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• SQL or data querying experience is a plus.
• Interest in hospitality, logistics, or multi-site operations is a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OneStream or similar corporate performance management software is beneficial.
• Availability to work standard 40-hour weekdays.
