Open Systems Solutions Architect – Defense, MOSA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of architecture across active defense programs from the planning stage to delivery.

• Collaborate directly with mission partners, program offices, and industry stakeholders.

• Convert mission requirements into actionable system and integration methodologies.

• Propel progress in uncertain environments and guarantee delivery outcomes.

• Establish modular system architectures, interface methodologies, and integration strategies.

• Assess vendor solutions and their technical assertions.

• Apply open architecture principles, including MOSA and related frameworks, into actionable implementation plans.

• Recognize and bridge gaps between policy intentions and actual system execution.

• Document and capture architectural methods, frameworks, and lessons learned.

• Contribute to the development of internal platforms, including initiatives in distributed manufacturing.

• Assist in the creation of repeatable models for open architecture implementation across various programs.

• Engage in periodic travel for client interactions, mission partner meetings, and company operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related area (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with DoD or defense-related systems or programs.

• Knowledge in systems architecture, systems engineering, or systems integration.

• Proven capability to manage and deliver complex workstreams in uncertain environments.

• Experience collaborating across technical teams, program management, and external stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to varied audiences.

• Eligibility for a current Secret personnel security clearance, verifiable through the appropriate government system.

• Capability to sustain the necessary clearance eligibility and access.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

• Experience with open architecture or modular systems (MOSA, OSA, FACE, SOSA, etc.) is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes or program office settings is preferred but not required.

• Experience in logistics, sustainment, or distributed systems is preferred but not required.

• Exposure to supply chain integration or manufacturing systems is preferred but not required.
