Online Visiting Professor, Information Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Instruct both undergraduate and graduate courses as a faculty member focused on practical application.

• Support student learning in line with the standards set by DeVry University.

• Create course syllabi and lesson plans that align with both course and program objectives.

• Organize, prepare, revise, and update all course materials as needed.

• Utilize online technologies, websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software effectively.

• Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills.

• Publish course objectives, assignment due dates, examination schedules, and evaluation criteria.

• Ensure that exams are consistent with the course's terminal objectives.

• Prepare and grade exams in a consistent and fair manner.

• Provide prompt feedback to students regarding their performance.

• Incorporate AI technologies responsibly into classroom instruction and learning experiences.

• Identify, assess, and manage appropriate and inappropriate use of AI tools by students.

• Complete additional assigned responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.

• A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in information systems, information technology, systems analysis, database management, or related fields.

• Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be submitted with the application.

• Degree must be from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or from an international institution with equivalent accreditation.

• Three to five years of practical professional experience in information systems, enterprise systems management, IT operations, systems analysis, or technology implementation within organizational contexts.

• Experience in the design, implementation, and management of information systems, including the integration of technology solutions that support business processes and organizational decision-making.

• Possession of industry-recognized certifications or professional credentials relevant to information systems, IT management, enterprise systems, or systems analysis.

• Strong expertise in information systems concepts and enterprise technology environments.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical and organizational technology concepts to a diverse audience.

• Understanding of information governance, cybersecurity principles, data management practices, and ethical use of technology.

• Dedication to continuous professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.

• Additional qualifications may be required in accordance with state licensing, institutional policies, or accreditation standards.
