Online Visiting Professor – Information Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Instruct practitioner-oriented undergraduate and graduate courses in information systems.

• Facilitate student learning in alignment with DeVry University's standards.

• Create course syllabi and lesson plans that are consistent with course and program objectives.

• Organize, prepare, revise, and update educational materials.

• Utilize online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions.

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication to engage students and enhance their learning experience.

• Publish course objectives, assignment deadlines, examination dates, and evaluation criteria.

• Ensure that examinations are in line with course terminal objectives.

• Consistently and fairly prepare and assess examinations.

• Provide prompt feedback to students.

• Integrate responsible AI technologies into the teaching and learning process.

• Identify, evaluate, and manage appropriate and inappropriate student utilization of AI tools.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctorate in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in information systems, information technology, systems analysis, database management, or related computing fields.

• Candidates must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts.

• Degrees should be conferred by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution deemed to have equivalent accreditation.

• Three to five years of relevant professional experience in information systems, enterprise systems management, IT operations, systems analysis, or technology implementation within organizational settings.

• Proven experience in information systems design, implementation, and management.

• Background in integrating technology solutions that support business processes and organizational decision-making.

• Industry-recognized certifications or professional credentials pertinent to information systems, IT management, enterprise systems, or systems analysis.

• Strong subject matter expertise in information systems concepts and enterprise technology landscapes.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical and organizational technology concepts to a diverse audience.

• Understanding of information governance, cybersecurity principles, data management practices, and ethical technology usage.

• Commitment to continuous professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.

• Additional requirements may be imposed by state licensing, institutional policies, or accreditation standards.
