Online Visiting Professor – Cancer Registry Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Instruct designated courses and programs in alignment with DeVry University standards.

• Support learning experiences for both undergraduate and graduate students.

• Create and approve course syllabi and lesson plans.

• Organize, prepare, consistently update, and revise course materials.

• Utilize online technologies and course-related software, such as websites, email, and online discussion forums.

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

• Communicate course objectives, assignment and examination schedules, and evaluation criteria.

• Ensure that exam content is consistent with course objectives.

• Prepare and evaluate exams in a fair and consistent manner.

• Provide prompt feedback to students.

• Incorporate responsible AI technologies into the teaching and learning process.

• Identify, assess, and manage appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master's degree in health information management, public health, or a related healthcare field from a regionally accredited institution.

• Current certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing cancer registry operations, covering case finding, abstracting, and follow-up.

• Proficiency in AJCC/TNM staging, SEER Summary Staging, and collaborative staging systems.

• Experience with cancer registry software platforms and NAACCR data standards.

• Familiarity with NCRA or CAHIIM accreditation standards and quality control procedures.

• Knowledge of cancer surveillance reporting to state and national databases.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
