Online English Teacher – Young Learners

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Instruct English online to young learners aged 4–16 located in China.

• Conduct both one-on-one and one-on-two sessions using ClassIn platform.

• Facilitate regular classes lasting 25 minutes and demo classes ranging from 21 to 25 minutes.

• Teach during the hours of 12:00–15:30 SAST, from Monday to Sunday.

• Maintain a minimum of 14 teaching hours weekly, up to six days per week.

• Foster relationships with recurring students and aid in their educational progress.

• Manage hours booked by students and create a sustainable schedule.

• Complete the recruitment and onboarding process prior to commencing teaching.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a completed tertiary qualification in any discipline.

• Holding an accredited 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience required.

• Proficient and articulate spoken English.

• Consistent availability each week is essential.

• Experience or a natural inclination for teaching young learners aged 4–16.

• A computer with an Intel® Core™ i5 processor or higher.

• A minimum of 8GB RAM is required.

• Fibre internet connection with a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and 30 Mbps download speed using a LAN cable.

• A UPS backup power source providing 4–5 hours of battery life.

• A noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam are necessary.
