Online Adjunct Instructor – Pathophysiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Instruct students on fundamental concepts and terminology associated with diseases and disorders of the human body.

• Discuss the structure, nature, causes, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment of prevalent diseases affecting various human body systems.

• Provide feedback to students regarding their performance throughout the duration of the course.

• Be accessible via phone, email, and individual meetings for inquiries and academic support.

• Respond promptly to Deans and University personnel concerning performance, student matters, and faculty file/accreditation requirements.

• Employ effective teaching methodologies and a variety of instructional techniques.

• Foster an engaging, student-focused learning atmosphere, including live classroom sessions.

• Align class session objectives with overall course performance goals.

• Exhibit mastery of subject matter and relate concepts effectively to students.

• Participate in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies.

• Offer student support and outreach through both synchronous and asynchronous communication and meetings.

• Attend assigned events, programmatic meetings, and committee activities.

• Fulfill required professional development obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology.

• At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in healthcare or health science education settings.

• Teaching experience is preferred.

• Must be self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment with minimal oversight.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, leadership, and colleagues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

• Regular access to a computer that meets specified system requirements.

• Must have Windows XP or newer.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010.

• Access to a reliable internet connection.

• Preferred qualifications include clinicians such as MD, DC, DO, NP, MSN, or PA.

• Must be able to provide active and unencumbered professional licenses/certifications necessary for specialized schools prior to teaching.

• Official transcripts for each degree obtained from an accredited institution must be provided before teaching.

• This position is not open to residents of Colorado.
