Online Adjunct Instructor – Human Nutrition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct students in Human Nutrition, addressing nutrition fundamentals, essential nutrients, dietary needs, food nutritive values, lifespan requirements, and the impact of cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic factors on nutritional health and diseases.

• Provide verbal and written feedback to students regarding their performance throughout the duration of the course.

• Maintain availability for student support via phone, email, individual meetings, and synchronous or asynchronous communication methods.

• Oversee and facilitate student learning and achievement in partnership with the Academic Dean.

• Implement effective teaching methodologies, various instructional techniques, live classroom tools, and student-focused learning activities.

• Establish a well-organized and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes learning.

• Exhibit expertise in the subject matter and contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment methods.

• Participate in events, program meetings, and committee responsibilities as designated or agreed upon by the Dean.

• Fulfill required professional development through Rasmussen Educational Units.

• Execute additional responsibilities as requested, directed, and/or assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field.

• Teaching experience is preferred; at least 3 years of experience in the relevant field is required.

• Preferred experience in healthcare or health science education environments.

• Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working collaboratively in a team setting with minimal supervision.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, leadership, and colleagues.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Regular access to a computer that meets system requirements: Windows XP or newer, Microsoft Office 2010, and a reliable internet connection.

• Ability to provide necessary professional licenses/certifications required for specialized schools prior to teaching; licenses must be active and unencumbered.

• Must present official transcripts for each degree obtained from an accredited institution before commencing teaching.
