This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases.
• Assist in the identification of cases.
• Execute quality control procedures on data.
• Completion of a college-level curriculum in cancer data management or a comparable education/experience.
• At the time of hiring: National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.
• Preferred: Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology or currently completing such courses.
• Preferred: Experience in abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases.
• Preferred: Experience in an ACoS approved Cancer Registry.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog.
