This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist in the daily management of distributors, ensuring compliance with brand policies, distribution goals, and promotional activities.
• Provide training to distributor sales teams and assess their execution against strategic initiatives.
• Monitor competitive activities within the market.
• Offer support to the local sales team.
• Engage with key on-premise accounts to foster strong professional relationships.
• Present and promote brands to boost sales volume and help distributors achieve their targets.
• Meet with distributor sales representatives and management to ensure brand visibility.
• Collaborate with significant local events and take part in strategies that align with our goals.
• Implement national initiatives within the local market.
• Serve as the point of contact for distributor sales teams regarding local and national objectives and programs.
• Assist with sales-related activities.
• Conduct product seminars at accounts and with distributor sales teams.
• Provide updates on National Account Mandate compliance.
• Stay updated on customer and consumer trends.
• Maintain a schedule of activities and promotions.
• Ensure effective communication between distributors and third-party agencies.
• Deliver monthly market activity reports to the supervisor.
• Supply market and competitive brand updates to the supervisor.
• Communicate changes in field conditions, factors impacting volume, and staffing adjustments.
• Review program execution updates with distributor management.
• Offer insights on marketing and sales initiatives, including programs, point-of-sale materials, and advertising.
• Assist with special projects, such as verifying pricing or distribution at on-premise accounts.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Over five (5) years of relevant experience in the distilled spirits/wine supplier industry.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather data from various sources and present it to different audiences.
• Familiarity with sales and marketing principles and methods, including marketing strategies, product demonstrations, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Good management skills.
• Proficient presentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Capability to occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers for handling objects, operate a computer, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specialization in Management and/or Marketing is preferred but not mandatory.
• Advanced computer skills are advantageous but not required.
