This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
β’ Organize patient schedules, confirm appointments, and assist with cancellations and rescheduling requests.
β’ Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits while obtaining necessary authorizations for medical, rehabilitation, and mental health services.
β’ Address patient inquiries via phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
β’ Provide assistance with general patient inquiries and direct clinical or billing issues to the appropriate team member.
β’ Ensure accurate and current patient information is maintained in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
β’ Input data, upload documentation, and confirm that all required paperwork is complete and forwarded to clinical staff.
β’ Carry out general virtual office responsibilities, such as managing correspondence, organizing electronic files, completing forms, tracking outstanding tasks, and upholding administrative records.
β’ Collaborate with clinical, billing, and administrative teams to facilitate efficient daily operations and a smooth patient experience.
β’ Monitor outstanding authorizations, credentialing items, patient documentation, insurance requests, and other time-sensitive administrative duties until completion.
β’ Uphold patient confidentiality and manage protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
β’ Additional education or certification in healthcare administration, medical office administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
β’ Previous administrative experience in a medical, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or mental health environment is preferred.
β’ Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations is strongly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems is essential.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
β’ Keen attention to detail and the capacity to maintain accurate records.
β’ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently in a remote work setting.
β’ Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare administrative procedures is preferred.
