This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
β’ Organize patient schedules, confirm appointments, and assist with cancellations and rescheduling inquiries.
β’ Validate patient insurance eligibility and benefits, and secure necessary authorizations for medical, rehabilitation, and mental health services.
β’ Address patient inquiries via phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
β’ Provide assistance with general inquiries and direct clinical or billing issues to the relevant team member.
β’ Keep precise and current patient information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
β’ Input data, upload documents, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and forwarded to clinical staff.
β’ Execute general virtual office responsibilities, including managing correspondence, organizing electronic files, completing forms, tracking pending tasks, and maintaining administrative records.
β’ Collaborate with clinical, billing, and administrative staff to enhance daily operations and ensure a smooth patient experience.
β’ Monitor pending authorizations, credentialing items, patient documentation, insurance requests, and other urgent administrative tasks until completion.
β’ Uphold patient confidentiality and manage protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
β’ Further education or certification in healthcare administration, medical office administration, or a related field is preferred.
β’ Prior administrative experience in a medical, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or mental health environment is preferred.
β’ Strong preference for experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
β’ Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems is essential.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
β’ Outstanding organizational, time-management, and follow-up abilities are necessary.
β’ Strong attention to detail and capability to maintain precise records.
β’ Ability to prioritize and independently manage multiple tasks in a remote work setting.
β’ Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare administrative procedures is preferred.
β’ Must be able to professionally handle confidential and sensitive patient information.
