Offensive Security Engineer – Red Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Strategize and implement red team operations, adversary simulations, and focused security assessments centered around cloud environments.

• Analyze cloud infrastructure, identity architectures, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and cloud-native services.

• Detect and verify attack vectors related to IAM misconfigurations, excessive permissions, exposure of secrets, metadata exploitation, insecure automation, and vulnerabilities in cloud service setups.

• Evaluate detection and response capabilities by testing logging, alerting, monitoring, and incident response workflows in collaboration with blue team and detection engineering teams.

• Monitor emerging attacker methodologies, trends in cloud exploitation, and new abuse vectors pertinent to modern enterprise landscapes.

• Act as the main Security liaison for software and engineering teams, assessing the organizational security posture and driving remediation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, penetration testing, and detection validation.

• Understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.

• Capability to align findings with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.

• Proficiency in writing clear, actionable reports.

• Skill in conveying complex technical matters to a variety of stakeholders.

• Relevant industry certifications, including OSCP, OSEP, GXPN, GPEN, or certifications in cloud security.

• Must have authorization to receive and access commodities and technologies regulated under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.

• Must be authorized to access Motive products and technology.
