Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain custom Odoo modifications for finance and project management systems, which include a specialized expense application.

• Create and manage integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and various banking applications.

• Execute the migration of historical data using scripted, repeatable loads that are validated against the source through dry runs and cutover processes.

• Develop and uphold testing pipelines, incorporating test and mock data.

• Work closely on a daily basis with the Odoo Functional Consultant to discuss requirements and possible solutions.

• Partner with the Project Manager to provide estimates, track progress, and assess risks.

• Ensure that technical documentation remains up-to-date.

• Offer support for the system following its go-live phase.

• Carry out other responsibilities that align with the role's objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Python development.

• At least 2 years of experience in developing custom Odoo modules on the latest versions of Odoo.

• In-depth knowledge of Odoo development, covering back-end ORM, inheritance, security, reporting, and scheduled actions.

• Front-end development experience using OWL and JavaScript.

• Proven experience in creating custom user-facing Odoo applications.

• Familiarity with integrating Odoo with external systems via REST APIs and Odoo external APIs.

• Experience in establishing robust error handling mechanisms.

• Practical experience with data migration projects, including scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and ensuring data quality.

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, as well as best practices for Odoo deployment and maintenance.

• Strong testing discipline, encompassing automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and management of test data.

• Proven initiative and capability to work independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
