Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain customizations in Odoo for finance and project management systems, including a tailored expense application.

• Develop and uphold integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and various banking systems.

• Transition historical data through scripted, repeatable loads that are validated against the source via dry runs and cutover.

• Establish and maintain testing pipelines, incorporating test and mock data.

• Work closely with the Odoo Functional Consultant daily to discuss requirements and potential solutions.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager regarding estimates, progress tracking, and identifying risks.

• Ensure that technical documentation remains up-to-date.

• Provide support for the system following the go-live phase.

• Utilize AI coding tools in everyday development and assist in the finance automation program.

• Carry out additional responsibilities aligned with the purpose of the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional Python development experience.

• At least 2 years of experience building custom Odoo modules on the latest versions of Odoo.

• In-depth knowledge of Odoo back-end development, including ORM, inheritance, security, reports, and scheduled actions.

• Strong skills in Odoo front-end development, particularly with OWL and JavaScript.

• Experience in creating custom user-facing Odoo applications.

• Proven experience in integrating Odoo with external systems via REST APIs and Odoo external APIs.

• Expertise in implementing robust error handling mechanisms.

• Practical experience with data migration projects, which includes scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and ensuring data quality.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and best practices for Odoo deployment and maintenance.

• Strong commitment to testing, encompassing automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and management of test data.

• Demonstrated initiative and the capability to work independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
