Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance Miratech’s financial system utilizing Odoo 20.

• Create and manage customizations for finance and project management systems in Odoo, including a tailored expense application.

• Establish and uphold integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and banking platforms.

• Execute the migration of historical data through scripted, repeatable loads, validated against original sources via dry runs and cutover.

• Construct and maintain testing pipelines, inclusive of test and mock data.

• Work closely on a daily basis with the Odoo Functional Consultant regarding requirements and available solution options.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager concerning estimates, advancement, and potential risks.

• Ensure technical documentation is consistently up to date.

• Provide support for the system after it goes live.

• Leverage AI coding tools in daily development and contribute to the finance automation initiative.

• Perform additional responsibilities aligned with the role's objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Python development.

• At least 2 years of experience in developing custom Odoo modules on the latest versions of Odoo.

• Extensive knowledge in Odoo back-end development, covering ORM, inheritance, security, reports, and scheduled actions.

• Strong skills in Odoo front-end development, including OWL and JavaScript.

• Experience in creating custom user-facing applications within Odoo.

• Proven experience in integrating Odoo with external systems via REST APIs and Odoo external APIs.

• Familiarity with implementing comprehensive error-handling procedures.

• Practical experience with data migration initiatives, including scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and data quality checks.

• Competence in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and best practices for Odoo deployment and maintenance.

• Strong emphasis on testing, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and management of test data.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
