Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain customizations for Odoo tailored to finance and project management systems, including a bespoke expense application.

• Develop and manage integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and various banking applications.

• Conduct historical data migrations utilizing scripted, repeatable loads that are validated against the source through dry runs and cutover processes.

• Establish and oversee testing pipelines, which include both test and mock data.

• Work in partnership with the Odoo Functional Consultant to define requirements and explore solution options.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager on estimates, progress tracking, and risk management.

• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.

• Provide support for the system after it goes live.

• Leverage AI coding tools in everyday development and support the finance automation strategy.

• Execute additional responsibilities consistent with the role's objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional Python development experience.

• More than 2 years of experience in creating custom Odoo modules on recent versions of Odoo.

• Strong expertise in Odoo back-end development, encompassing ORM, inheritance, security, reports, and scheduled actions.

• Proficient in Odoo front-end development, particularly with OWL and JavaScript.

• Experience in developing custom user-facing Odoo applications.

• Familiarity with integrating Odoo with external systems using REST APIs and Odoo’s external APIs.

• Proven experience in implementing effective error-handling mechanisms.

• Practical experience with data migration projects, including scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and quality assurance.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and best practices for Odoo deployment and maintenance.

• Strong focus on testing discipline, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and management of test data.

• Demonstrated initiative and capability to work independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
