Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain customizations for Odoo related to finance and project management systems, which includes a tailored expense application.

• Create and uphold integrations with Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and various banking systems.

• Transition historical data utilizing scripted, repeatable loads that are validated against the source through dry runs and during cutover.

• Establish and manage testing pipelines that include test and mock data.

• Work collaboratively on a daily basis with the Odoo Functional Consultant to discuss requirements and potential solutions.

• Partner with the Project Manager to evaluate estimates, track progress, and identify risks.

• Ensure that technical documentation is kept up to date.

• Provide support for the system following its go-live phase.

• Employ AI coding tools in everyday development tasks.

• Assist in the finance automation initiative.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed in alignment with the role's objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Python development.

• At least 2 years of experience in building custom Odoo modules on recent versions of Odoo.

• Extensive knowledge in Odoo back-end development, including ORM, inheritance, security, reports, and scheduled actions.

• Strong skills in Odoo front-end development, particularly with OWL and JavaScript.

• Experience in creating custom user-facing Odoo applications.

• Familiarity with integrating Odoo with external systems using REST APIs and Odoo external APIs.

• Proven experience in implementing effective error-handling mechanisms.

• Practical experience with data migration projects, including scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and assurance of data quality.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and Odoo deployment and maintenance practices.

• Strong focus on testing, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and managing test data.

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and deliver results independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
