Odoo Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and support customizations for Odoo in finance and project management systems, which includes a bespoke expense application.

• Create and sustain integrations with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, and various banking systems.

• Execute the migration of historical data through scripted, repeatable loads that are validated against the source via dry runs and cutover.

• Develop and manage testing pipelines, inclusive of both test and mock data.

• Work in collaboration with the Odoo Functional Consultant to gather requirements and explore solution options.

• Partner with the Project Manager to assess estimates, monitor progress, and identify risks.

• Ensure that technical documentation remains up-to-date.

• Provide support for the system following the go-live phase.

• Utilize AI coding tools in daily development tasks.

• Assist in the finance automation initiative.

• Undertake other responsibilities that align with the purpose of the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Python development.

• At least 2 years of experience in creating custom Odoo modules for recent Odoo versions.

• Extensive knowledge in Odoo development, covering back-end ORM, inheritance, security features, reporting, and scheduled actions.

• Front-end proficiency in OWL and JavaScript.

• Experience in developing custom user-facing applications within Odoo.

• Skilled in integrating Odoo with external systems utilizing REST APIs and Odoo's external APIs.

• Proven experience in establishing robust error-handling systems.

• Practical experience with data migration projects, including scripted and repeatable data loads, validation, and ensuring data quality.

• Expertise in PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker, and best practices for Odoo deployment and maintenance.

• Strong commitment to testing, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and management of test data.

• A proactive mindset with the capability to work independently.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Ukrainian.
