Odia Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Evaluate advanced language models using Odia language scenarios.

• Document instances of model failures related to dialectal variations, language register, script issues, translation challenges, ambiguities, and cultural contexts.

• Engage in conversations with the model regarding language scenarios.

• Assess factual accuracy and logical coherence.

• Record reproducible error traces.

• Propose enhancements for prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Assist in creating high-quality training data for AI language models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the Odia language.

• In-depth knowledge of Odia grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics.

• Familiarity with dialectal variations, distinctions between formal and informal language, Odia script, translation precision, semantic ambiguities, and cultural contexts.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills and the ability to explain your thought process.

• A master’s or PhD in Odia language, linguistics, or a related field is preferred.

• Peer-reviewed publications, translation experience, or practical linguistic analysis projects are indicative of a good fit.
