OCS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the scope of the Overhead Contact System (OCS) from the design phase through to construction, testing, and commissioning.

• Manage the OCS scope, including design, procurement, installation, and testing, to fulfill project and client requirements.

• Supervise OCS subcontractors, oversee billings, handle change proposals, and ensure completion of project closeout documentation.

• Assist Construction Managers by providing installation plans, drawings, and ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards.

• Guarantee timely procurement and delivery of OCS and Traction Power equipment.

• Direct testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Foster team discipline, morale, and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in rail projects, specifically in Signal/Train Control.

• Electrical PE certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with current electrical codes and standards is essential.

• Comprehensive understanding of Signal/Train Control systems utilized in transit.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• CADD experience is preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.

• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines.

• Possess analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate transparently.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Overtime may be necessary to adhere to project deadlines.

• Capability to frequently sit for extended periods.

• Ability to frequently speak, read, write, and use a computer keyboard.

• Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, lift, stoop, or bend.
