This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee, manage, assess, and deliver Occupational Therapy Services to clients in their residences as directed by the Attending Provider.
• Assess clients, set goals, conduct re-evaluations, and document findings appropriately.
• Lead clients in therapeutic, self-care, and creative activities to enhance their independence and functioning.
• Develop routines for household management.
• Document and communicate client reactions and changes in condition to the provider.
• Educate clients and families regarding prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Train families and health team members in the Occupational Therapy program and client care procedures.
• Attend paramedical meetings, case discussions, staff development sessions, and in-service training.
• Prepare and submit clinical/progress notes in accordance with Agency policies.
• Supervise the Occupational Therapy Assistant as necessary.
• Coordinate weekly visit scheduling with the Director of Nursing or an assigned representative.
• Engage in discharge planning activities and complete the Occupational Therapy Discharge Summary.
• Inform the Agency of any absences that may impact agreed services.
• Graduate from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A. in partnership with the American Occupational Therapy Association, or an equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an institutional setting.
• Licensed and/or registered by the relevant state, if necessary.
• Must possess a vehicle with the required insurance and a valid state driver's license or have reliable transportation.
• Capable of effective verbal and written communication as required by the role.
• Physically able to perform the necessary responsibilities.
• Willing and able to travel to potential clients' homes.
