Occupational Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assess patients’ functional capabilities and their living conditions to determine needs and safety issues.

• Create individualized treatment plans and relay them to doctors and the care team.

• Instruct and assist patients in regaining daily living skills impacted by illness or injury.

• Recommend and guide patients on the use of adaptive equipment, splints, and prosthetic/orthotic devices.

• Keep precise clinical records and promptly notify relevant parties of any changes in patient status.

• Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure cohesive, patient-focused care.

• Provide education to family members and caregivers regarding the patient’s treatment plan.

• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and manage home health aide services when OT is the only skilled service provided.

• Assist in discharge planning as patients transition from home health care.

• Carry out additional duties as necessary for patient services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

• Possess an active California Occupational Therapy license.

• At least 2 years of clinical OT experience.

• Current CPR certification from the AHA.

• Hold a valid driver’s license, have a reliable insured vehicle, and be capable of traveling to patient residences.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
