Nursing Academic Coach – ATI, NCLEX Success

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide personalized and small-group academic coaching to enhance nursing student success and NCLEX-RN preparedness.

• Conduct tutoring, remediation sessions, workshops, and supplemental instructional activities.

• Enhance students’ clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, mastery of content, and test-taking techniques.

• Assist students in creating study plans, learning strategies, time management skills, and effective academic habits.

• Offer constructive feedback and proactively reach out to at-risk or disengaged students.

• Facilitate the implementation and utilization of ATI resources, including ATI Capstone and Virtual-ATI.

• Track progress towards NCLEX readiness benchmarks, including the Virtual-ATI Green Light indicator.

• Create NCLEX-aligned study materials, workshops, and remediation resources.

• Assess ATI reports, internal evaluations, engagement analytics, and academic performance to pinpoint learning deficiencies.

• Formulate tailored remediation plans and suggest specific ATI resources and educational activities.

• Oversee participation, completion of assigned activities, and readiness progress; evaluate and modify interventions as needed.

• Report significant academic or engagement issues to faculty and program leadership.

• Collaborate with the Director of NCLEX, nursing faculty, and program administration.

• Keep detailed records of appointments, outreach efforts, remediation, engagement, and student progress.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives concerning progression, NCLEX readiness, and licensure outcomes.

• Dedicate approximately 30 hours of each 40-hour work week to providing direct support to students.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution.

• Experience in supporting nursing students through teaching, tutoring, remediation, academic coaching, clinical instruction, or NCLEX preparation.

• Practical experience using ATI or a similar nursing assessment and NCLEX preparation platform.

• Capability to analyze ATI or comparable student performance data, identify learning gaps, and create focused remediation plans.

• Familiarity with NCLEX-RN preparation, including Next Generation NCLEX clinical judgment and item formats.

• Proven knowledge of nursing education, clinical judgment, test-taking strategies, and evidence-based student remediation approaches.

• Strong skills in coaching, communication, organization, and relationship building with students.

• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, follow-through, and dedication to achieving measurable student outcomes.

• Ability to handle a consistent number of student appointments while ensuring timely preparation, documentation, outreach, and follow-up.

• Capacity to independently learn and adjust to new ATI products, educational technology, and platform features.

• Must be consistently available during designated Pacific Time working hours, irrespective of physical location.

• Flexibility in scheduling, including the possibility of occasional evening and weekend work.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Official transcripts will be required prior to hiring.

• Degrees obtained outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service.

• Successful completion of a background check is necessary.

• Employment verification to confirm work experience in accordance with accreditation standards is required.
