Nurse Practitioner – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct independent telehealth sessions with patients

• Carry out clinical evaluations and document medical necessity in accordance with payer documentation standards

• Issue orders and prescriptions within the boundaries of practice and state regulations

• Ensure comprehensive and compliant clinical documentation for each encounter

• Address documentation requests in the event of audits or claims reviews

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NP license with full practice authority in your state

• Preferably employed by or contracted with an agency that delivers in-home services

• Must possess your own EMR, with the capability to incorporate PeteDME's clinical templates

• Completion of any applicable transition-to-practice hours necessary for independent practice

• Active NPI number

• Board certification in good standing

• No exclusions from federal healthcare programs (OIG/SAM)

• Current malpractice coverage (occurrence-form or claims-made with tail coverage), or a willingness to obtain it

• Comfortable with telehealth platforms and capable of managing independent, high-volume encounters

• Previous experience with Medicare and commercial payer documentation requirements is a plus

• Credentialing and license verification required before the first encounter
