NOC Infrastructure Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Provide operational assistance for a 24/7 NOC environment that supports both Linux and Windows-based systems.

• Operate, maintain, and manage Linux and Windows systems to support production operations.

• Execute data backup and recovery procedures.

• Monitor, manage, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and their applications.

• Develop and uphold environment-specific operating procedures and documentation.

• Create, manage, and oversee user accounts and group memberships within Active Directory.

• Conduct daily system monitoring to ensure system integrity, availability, and the successful execution of scheduled jobs and backups.

• Define, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve support requests effectively.

• Administer and oversee cloud-based infrastructure and managed services.

• Develop, maintain, and utilize automation scripts using technologies such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar.

• Assist with patch management in both Linux and Windows environments.

• Create and maintain operational, configuration, and knowledge base documentation.

• Lead shift operations as needed.

• Participate in a rotating shift schedule to support mission-critical infrastructure and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux and Windows system administration.

• Experience in supporting production infrastructure in a 24/7 operational setting.

• Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration.

• Experience with system and application monitoring in production environments.

• Practical knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, IP networking, and network troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with administering Microsoft infrastructure technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Security.

• Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies, including AWS, Azure, VMware, and Hyper-V.

• Proficiency in developing automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Working knowledge of SQL queries and database troubleshooting.

• Experience in web server administration and configuration.

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools like Nagios, Datadog, Jira, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

• Experience in managing incidents, documenting resolutions, and adhering to operational procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
