NOC Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the performance of networks and systems utilizing various monitoring tools and software.

• Diagnose and resolve complex network and system problems, escalating when necessary.

• Set up and deploy systems and network devices in collaboration with Backup Specialists and Toolset Orchestration Specialists.

• Keep precise documentation of network and system configurations and modifications.

• Work together with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement effective solutions.

• Monitor and react to alerts and notifications from network and system monitoring tools.

• Relay network and system issues to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Engage in on-call rotation and address after-hours incidents as required.

• Guide and train Analyst I staff on best practices for network and system monitoring.

• Ensure tickets are accurately created and documented for time tracking.

• Manage personal workload while ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

• Execute additional duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network and system monitoring or a related area.

• Proficiency with network and system monitoring tools.

• Familiarity with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.

• Understanding of advanced networking concepts including load balancing, VPN, and firewalls.

• Advanced knowledge of server and operating system fundamentals, particularly Windows and Linux.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize various tasks effectively.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

• Must fulfill Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements post-employment.

• Subject to background checks from criminal and department of motor vehicles.
