NOC Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the performance of networks and systems utilizing various monitoring tools and software.

• Detect and resolve intricate network and system problems, escalating issues when necessary.

• Execute configurations and deployments of system and network devices in collaboration with Backup Specialists and Toolset Orchestration Specialists.

• Keep precise documentation of network and system configurations and modifications.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to address issues and implement effective solutions.

• Monitor and react to alerts and notifications generated by network and system monitoring tools.

• Communicate network and system issues promptly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as required.

• Provide mentorship and training to Analyst I staff regarding best practices in network and system monitoring.

• Ensure that tickets are accurately created and documented to reflect time spent.

• Manage personal workload to ensure compliance with service level agreements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network and system monitoring or a related area.

• Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools.

• Experience with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.

• Understanding of advanced networking principles such as load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Proficient knowledge of server and operating system concepts, including both Windows and Linux environments.

• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and processes.

• Must successfully pass criminal and department of motor vehicles background checks.

• Must comply with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements following employment.
