NOC Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee network and system performance utilizing monitoring tools and software.

• Detect and resolve network and system issues, escalating when necessary.

• Carry out fundamental system and network configurations and deployments.

• Keep precise documentation of network and system configurations and changes.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement solutions.

• Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications from network and system monitoring.

• Communicate network and system concerns to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Participate in an on-call rotation and address after-hours incidents as required.

• Create and accurately document tickets to track time.

• Manage personal workload effectively and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs).

• Perform additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Familiarity with network and system monitoring tools.

• Experience with ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG is advantageous.

• Understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching.

• Basic knowledge of server and operating system concepts, including Windows and Linux.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented setting.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

• Must fulfill Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements post-employment.

• Subject to background checks from criminal and department of motor vehicles.
