This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Engage with healthcare professionals using in-person, virtual, and digital platforms.
• Offer specialized knowledge on products and their approved indications.
• Personally connect with customers through virtual or digital platforms.
• Direct customers to Customer Service Specialists and other team members as necessary.
• Ensure customer inquiries are addressed and gather feedback on the quality of engagement.
• Facilitate speaker programs.
• Organize local provider gatherings to discuss experiences and outcomes with regional leaders.
• Elevate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead.
• Collaborate compliantly with the ecosystem team to refine targeting and call strategies.
• Utilize customer insights to shape local strategies and business objectives.
• Conduct proactive outreach to HCPs regarding product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidance.
• Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Cultivate relationships with office and practice personnel.
• Deliver balanced office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Report directly to the Area Business Lead and coordinate with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support colleagues.
• A minimum of one of the following: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience considered for candidates who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience in a regulated, clinical, or customer engagement setting.
• 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar), with proven patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-focused responsibilities.
• Ability to articulate complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and translate scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Strong dedication to ethical business practices and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
• Ability to execute business activities in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.
• Capacity to assimilate and convey complex clinical and product information.
• Must live within a commutable distance of 50 miles from the primary city in the sales territory.
• Knowledge of the territory and business conditions affecting sales performance.
• Ability to inform office staff about payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Proficiency in utilizing promotional materials and technical references.
• Knowledge of products and competitive landscape.
