This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Engage with healthcare providers via in-person meetings, virtual interactions, and digital platforms.
• Share knowledge regarding products and their approved applications.
• Personally connect with customers through virtual or digital channels.
• Guide customers to Customer Service Specialists and other team members as required.
• Ensure customer inquiries are addressed and gather feedback on the quality of engagement.
• Facilitate speaker programs effectively.
• Organize local provider groups to discuss experiences and outcomes with regional leaders.
• Communicate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead.
• Collaborate with the ecosystem team to modify targeting and call point strategies in a compliant manner.
• Utilize customer-facing insights to shape local strategy and meet business objectives.
• Conduct proactive outreach to healthcare professionals regarding product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidelines.
• Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Monitor progress and pinpoint opportunities using competitive data, business reports, sales figures, and promotional budgets.
• Conduct office calls and sales presentations utilizing approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Report directly to the Area Business Lead and collaborate with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support colleagues.
• At least one of the following: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; candidates with less experience may be considered if they successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement roles.
• 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with a focus on patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-related responsibilities.
• Proficient in communicating complex clinical information, influencing stakeholders, and translating scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Strong dedication to ethical business practices and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
• Capable of executing business activities in accordance with Company policies and guidance.
• Ability to assimilate and convey complex clinical and product information effectively.
• Must live within a 50-mile commuting distance from the primary city in the sales territory.
• Familiarity with territory and business conditions that impact sales outcomes.
• Competent in educating office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Skilled in using promotional materials and technical references.
• Possess market and industry knowledge to address objections and influence prescribing behavior.
• Ability to identify territory professional groups and engage with potential key opinion leaders.
• Capable of building relationships with office and practice personnel.
• Strong product knowledge of personal products and competitors.
• Proficient in delivering effective and balanced office calls and sales presentations.
