This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Engage with healthcare providers using in-person, virtual, and digital tools.
• Provide expertise on products and their approved uses.
• Act as the primary contact for healthcare provider customers.
• Personally interact with customers through virtual or digital channels.
• Refer customers to colleagues, such as Customer Service Specialists, when necessary.
• Ensure that customer requests are fulfilled and gather feedback regarding the quality of engagement.
• Organize speaker programs.
• Coordinate local provider groups to discuss experiences and outcomes with regional leaders.
• Elevate opportunities, feedback, and insights from the local market to the Area Business Lead.
• Collaborate in a compliant manner with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and ecosystem teams.
• Modify targeting and call point strategies in conjunction with the ecosystem team.
• Utilize customer insights to shape local strategies and business objectives.
• Conduct proactive outreach to healthcare providers about product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidance.
• Educate office staff regarding payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Deliver balanced office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Cultivate relationships with key office and practice personnel to enhance patient outcomes.
• A minimum of one of the following: 2+ years in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience may be considered for those who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement roles.
• 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with proven patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-focused responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and translate scientific data into clear, actionable value propositions.
• Strong dedication to ethical business practices and knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Capability to execute business activities in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Ability to assimilate and convey complex clinical and product information.
• Must live within a 50-mile commuting distance from the primary city in the sales territory.
• Familiarity with territory and business conditions that affect sales performance.
• Proficient in educating office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures.
• Competent in effectively utilizing promotional materials.
• Market and industry knowledge to address objections and influence prescribing behaviors.
• Ability to identify professional groups in the territory and network with potential key opinion leaders.
• Skilled in building relationships with office and practice personnel.
• In-depth product knowledge of own offerings and competitive products.
• Ability to use approved marketing materials and technical references, including studies and package inserts.
