Network Systems Engineer, DV Cleared

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver pre-sales technical assistance to public sector clients and potential customers in the United Kingdom.

• Serve as a trusted consultant to uncover opportunities, collect requirements, and devise solutions.

• Collaborate with Account Managers to comprehend and address customer challenges.

• Facilitate interactive network architecture sessions and product demonstrations.

• Design, architect, and propose solutions for data centers, routing, campus networks, and security systems.

• Execute hands-on customer proof-of-concept initiatives and initial network installations.

• Develop design guidelines and suggest enhancements for customer networks.

• Lead technical responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).

• Oversee customer feature requests from initial requirements through to implementation and deployment.

• Relay customer feedback to Product Management and Development teams.

• Represent Arista at industry events and conferences.

• Keep track of competing solutions, products, and services.

• Write white papers, blogs, and articles on technology and products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness to travel nationally to assist customers.

• A technical degree is mandatory.

• Experience in networking design and implementation is essential.

• Hands-on experience in routing and switching, including familiarity with relevant protocols.

• Recent experience in designing data center, routing, and/or campus network architecture.

• Exceptional presentation abilities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of switching and routing protocols and technologies, such as Spanning Tree, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, and network segmentation.

• Familiarity with Service Provider technologies is advantageous.

• Understanding of campus technologies is beneficial.

• Awareness of the competitive technology landscape.

• Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred.

• Practical experience in security deployment is a plus.

• Recent hands-on CLI experience is highly desirable.

• Experience and/or interest in NetOps/DevOps utilizing Python and Ansible.

• CCIE, JNCIE, or an equivalent industry certification is required.
