This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, and maintain network hosts and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN endpoints.

• Conduct network maintenance and upgrades, which may require occasional evening or weekend work.

• Diagnose and resolve network issues and outages.

• Engage in global production and corporate network infrastructure, covering edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and CDN infrastructure.

• Manage multiple vendor switches on servers for both hardware and software concerns.

• Address traffic and queries from ISPs and partners.

• Provide support for incidents such as input errors, CRC, and RMA.

• Collaborate directly with ISPs and vendors to troubleshoot network issues.

• Implement company policies and procedures to resolve moderately scoped issues.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university, along with 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications.

• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.

• Knowledge of server hardware technologies in relation to content delivery performance and capacity.

• Capability to work independently with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.

• Ability to foster productive internal and external working relationships.

• Proficiency in exercising judgment within established procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action.

• Capacity to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

• Ability to navigate within an office environment.

• Competence in using a computer.

• Effective communication skills.
