Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Address incidents in a sustainable manner while planning and executing changes in accordance with established processes and SLAs.

• Actively enhance systems through upgrades, migrations, monitoring, and necessary adjustments.

• Work with Juniper and Arista technologies, including CVP, in a high-performance environment.

• Initiate automation projects utilizing Ansible and GitLab.

• Manage intricate WAN core, ISP peering, and cloud networking settings.

• Engage in on-call rotations and perform scheduled after-hours changes per customer SLAs.

• Collaborate with the Network Operations team within the Platform Services department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in operating networks, with a focus on routing and switching.

• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and utilizing the CLI.

• Capable of navigating complex network environments.

• Fundamental understanding of Linux and Bash.

• Completion of vocational training or a degree in IT or networking, or equivalent practical experience as a career changer (m/f/d).

• Strong knowledge of Juniper and/or Arista is preferred.

• Eagerness to learn new areas and continuously enhance your skills.

• Self-motivation and proactive initiative.

• Excellent German and proficient English language skills, both written and verbal.

• Readiness to participate in on-call rotations and occasionally execute scheduled out-of-hours changes in alignment with customer SLAs.
