This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and create high-performance networking functionalities for enterprise-level appliances.
• Engage in open-source data plane and fast path stacks, such as VPP and DPDK.
• Lead technical projects and guide team members through mentorship.
• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, delivering independently and at scale.
• Collaborate across different functions and encourage the sharing of knowledge.
• Effectively communicate architectural decisions and design trade-offs, including to senior stakeholders.
• Manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency, accountability, and strong ownership.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in developing enterprise-grade appliances or similar systems.
• Proficient in embedded software development using C/C++ (knowledge of Python is an advantage).
• Solid understanding of DPDK-based traffic generators (e.g., TRex) — development experience is a significant plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of L2–L4 networking and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Firewall).
• Experience with security protocols (IPsec, SSL/TLS), along with authentication and authorization practices.
• Practical experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with overlay and tunneling technologies.
• Excellent software engineering principles and clean coding practices.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative, startup-like environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Expertise in VPP, DPDK, or similar open-source data plane and fast path stacks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures.
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of distributed computing and microservices.
• A mindset for cross-domain knowledge and solution design.
