Network Firewall Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams to implement and oversee the design, development, and execution of technical solutions.

• Contribute to the architecture and design of infrastructure, engage in research and development for new or enhanced systems, establish technology standards and policies, conduct requirements analysis, unit testing, system integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Independently interact with business partners at various levels of the organization to clarify problems or opportunities and gather business requirements.

• Coordinate vendor interactions and manage vendor resources as necessary.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators.

• Review documentation, proposals, and changes suggested by junior staff.

• Enhance knowledge of trends, practices, and technologies in Financial Services.

• Adhere to and promote industry best practices, standards, and procedures.

• Keep updated on Bank applications, systems, development environments, vendor technologies, and services.

• Follow company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls; identify risk-related issues that require escalation.

• Advocate for diversity and support the Bank's brand.

• Maintain internal control standards and implement necessary internal and external audit points and applicable regulatory matters.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.

• Strong comprehension of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, vendor best practices, IT Service Management, and systems design.

• At least 8 years of professional experience in a technical engineering role focused on infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design, and/or development for complex applications.

• Ability to convert complex business and functional requirements into structured high-quality implementations utilizing industry-standard methodologies.
