Network Automation Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance, modernization, automation, and ongoing improvement of essential infrastructure platforms that support network operations, observability, identity services, and enterprise infrastructure management.

• Diagnose problems and technical challenges, suggest solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems effectively.

• Assess technical difficulties and establish the most efficient way forward.

• Analyze business, operational, and technical needs.

• Proactively identify technical, operational, and timeline risks early in the project lifecycle.

• Design, test, integrate, and automate solutions across various platforms.

• Facilitate application onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and platform transformations.

• Integrate platforms using APIs, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Establish platform roadmaps and modernization strategies.

• Promote continuous improvement to boost reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee platform lifecycle activities, which include upgrades, migrations, vendor support, and decommissioning.

• Enhance automation capabilities and minimize operational complexity.

• Assist with compliance, audits, vulnerability remediation, and security initiatives.

• Collaborate with leadership and partner teams to ensure technology investments align with business goals.

• Contribute to ongoing projects while shaping the future of assigned platforms and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, network engineering with automation expertise, DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering, or enterprise monitoring and observability.

• Proficient in Windows administration and Linux administration.

• Familiarity with Ansible / AWX.

• Experience with ServiceNow integrations.

• Knowledge of GitHub / GitLab.

• Competency with REST APIs and Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience in supporting vulnerability management, security remediation, penetration testing, audit readiness, and compliance standards.

• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning.

• Deep knowledge of Azure cloud hosting architecture; AWS experience is advantageous.

• Proficiency in working with Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Experience in consuming and developing REST API integrations.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Extensive experience and judgment in planning and achieving goals.

• Capacity to apply general principles to specific issues to derive conclusions and responses.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven process improvement experience.

• Preferred: production-quality Python automation solutions.

• Preferred: familiarity with Cisco management tools such as Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, CMX, and Prime.

• Preferred: background in software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud AWS.

• Preferred: knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and network management platforms.

• Preferred: experience with enterprise platform integrations via REST APIs.

• Preferred: understanding of cloud-hosted application architectures.

• Preferred: experience with vendor-supported applications and appliances.

• Preferred: knowledge in application lifecycle management, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
