Network Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Establish architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and best practices.

• Assess and recommend networking technologies that align with business and operational objectives.

• Create secure, scalable, and highly available network designs.

• Provide senior technical leadership and support for complex client engagements and internal projects.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Operations teams, and technical leads.

• Lead architecture reviews, implementation planning, risk assessments, and technical governance activities.

• Act as Project Lead for strategic and complex network initiatives when necessary.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic and tactical guidance on network architecture.

• Engage in billable consulting activities and assist with pre-sales efforts, solution development, and architecture workshops.

• Identify opportunities to enhance networking, cloud, security, and infrastructure services within client accounts.

• Deliver technical recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Optimize network performance, availability, reliability, and resilience.

• Drive modernization initiatives that include SD-WAN, cloud networking, automation, and Zero Trust architectures.

• Develop strategies for disaster recovery and business continuity.

• Ensure network solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance standards.

• Keep abreast of emerging networking technologies and industry trends.

• Create architecture standards, templates, and reusable design frameworks.

• Mentor Network Engineers and contribute to the technical capability development throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study.

• Expert knowledge of Cisco and/or Juniper networking solutions, covering routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, network security, and data center technologies.

• Over 8 years of experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure delivery, or network engineering roles.

• At least 3 years in a Network Architect or senior networking position.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale network solutions.

• Strong consulting skills, stakeholder management, and experience in client-facing roles.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.

• Proven capability to design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise network infrastructures.

• CCIE or CCNP Enterprise certification is preferred.

• JNCIE or JNCIP certification is preferred.

• Azure Network Engineer Associate certification is preferred.

• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certification is preferred.

• CISSP certification is an asset.
