NetSuite Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold customizations, integrations, and automation within NetSuite for internal corporate systems.

• Design and create enhancements that align with business requirements while ensuring system integrity, security, scalability, and performance.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and fellow engineers to clarify requirements, assess options, and provide effective solutions.

• Utilize agile development methodologies to plan, estimate, deliver, and foster continuous improvement in team efforts.

• Engage in peer code reviews to uphold consistent engineering standards and best practices.

• Actively participate in project meetings, addressing risks, inquiries, and opportunities for improvement.

• Work alongside team leads and management to enhance development processes, tools, release practices, and support procedures.

• Diagnose application behavior, integration challenges, and performance issues; implement sustainable solutions.

• Consider the complete software lifecycle encompassing planning, design, code review, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.

• Ensure clear and up-to-date documentation for code, customizations, integrations, processes, and support procedures.

• Primarily focus on development, with minimal production support and break/fix tasks for escalated issues.

• Collaborate with a fully remote North American team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on NetSuite development.

• Proficient JavaScript development skills along with practical experience in software design, debugging, testing, source control, and release workflows.

• Strong hands-on experience in developing with SuiteScript 2.1/2.x; familiarity with legacy SuiteScript 1.0 is advantageous.

• Experience with prevalent NetSuite script types such as User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, RESTlet, Suitelet, and Workflow Action scripts.

• Experience in constructing and utilizing REST-based integrations, including NetSuite REST web services and/or RESTlets.

• Working knowledge of NetSuite records, saved searches and/or SuiteQL, roles and permissions, script governance, and performance best practices.

• Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), SuiteCloud CLI or equivalent deployment tools, and Git-based source control.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer certification or other relevant NetSuite certification is a plus.
