.NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable back-end applications, services, and APIs utilizing .NET technologies.

• Create and support microservices, integrations, and data processing solutions across various systems and data sources.

• Implement secure, dependable, and high-performance software solutions that fulfill functional and service level requirements.

• Develop and manage database components, including complex SQL Server queries and stored procedures.

• Enforce authentication, authorization, logging, auditing, and secure coding practices.

• Construct and uphold automated testing solutions, encompassing unit and integration tests.

• Oversee CI/CD processes, Azure DevOps pipelines, releases, and testing activities.

• Develop and maintain containerized application deployments and Kubernetes Helm charts.

• Review source code, conduct peer reviews, and contribute to enhancements in software quality.

• Create monitoring, reporting, and observability solutions, including Elasticsearch and Kibana dashboards.

• Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies, assist in effort estimation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Generate and maintain technical, design, and architecture documentation.

• Communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 9 years of relevant software development experience, including at least 5 years of back-end development with .NET within the last 7 years.

• At least 3 years of experience in designing and developing scalable back-end solutions, including REST APIs, integrations, and microservices within highly scalable production environments.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with containerized and orchestrated environments, such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or similar technologies.

• Proven experience delivering at least 2 production-ready projects utilizing OAuth authentication and authorization standards.

• At least 3 years of experience working in Agile Scrum environments.

• Strong knowledge of .NET 8.0+, C#, application development environments, software development methodologies, object-oriented programming (OOP), and SOLID principles.

• Proficient in designing and developing scalable REST APIs, integrations, and microservices, including microservice design patterns, asynchronous programming, and messaging patterns.

• Familiarity with Git version control and branching strategies, including Git Flow.

• Good understanding of relational databases (SQL Server), message brokers (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka), and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Artifacts, and Test Plans).

• Knowledge of unit testing practices, Linux shell usage, and fundamental Linux administration concepts.

• Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including solution design and architecture documentation.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

• Desirable: More than 1 year of experience in an international and multicultural environment.

• Desirable: Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch, Redis, or Neo4j.

• Capable of communicating clearly and concisely with both technical and management stakeholders.
